Hello Lovelies,
So this week I went for an interview with Boots for a temporary Christmas staff position, I have been to a lot of interviews recently and so I was not too nervous leading up to the interview, however once I got there and it started they certainty kicked in! Mostly because I wanted the job so much, I love all things beauty and Boots is a place I have a lot of interest and passion for so I would love to be apart of a company which I love and admire so much, this was my answer to the question 'Why do you do you want to work for Boots' but due to nerves it came out in abit of a jumbley order!
Now this post is not just about my interview, but it is definitely inspired by it!
As prep for my interview I was asked to choose a product to talk about and then try sell to my interviewer. The product I chose was No7 Beautiful Skin Nourishing Hand & Nail Cream, which I recently purchased and has since become a favorite of mine.
As with all my reviews I like to read other reviews to get my overall general opinion from others to compare to my own opinion. This hand cream has divided opinions, many have said the formula is too greasy and the smell is strong and can be easily disliked.
I absolutely love the feel and texture of the product, a little goes a long way, if you use too much in one go it can feel abit greasy so only a small amount is needed. It feels luxurious and a treat to use.
It has really helped to nourish my hands, being an art student my skin comes into contact with a lot of different materials such as paint and plaster which causes dryness so I need a hand cream I can rely on and this is it, it is a great staple product.
It is a little pricey at £9.00 however I purchased with a No7 £5 off voucher which you can get sometimes if you are signed up to a Boots points card.
Let me know if you had tried this product or what hand creams are your favorites!

Monday Mask: NEW Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask
Hello Lovelies
Today's face mask of choice is the all new Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask, a "Super-Hydrating Revitalising Mask" which claims to give you one week of hydrating serum in one mask! All sounds pretty appealing, I was stocking up on the Garnier Pure Active Micellar water when I came across this product and for the special offer price of £0.99 I could not resist! The mask is said to be the equivalent of one weeks use of the Garnier Moisture Bomb 3 in 1 Day Cream.
"It acts like a hydration wrap that continuously diffuses all the effectiveness of the serum intensely hydrating your skin"
Whats in it?
Pomergranate Extract
Hyaluronic Acid
Plant Serum
Application
For the application I got a cloth and ran it under hot water and patted it around my face to open up my pores, I then cleansed face with the Garnier Proactive Micellar Cleansing Water, using a cotton pad I splashed a few drops of it on and patted it around my face.
It's a 15 minute face mask however like all face masks I usually give them extra time, I normally like to watch an episode of something whilst I wait, this makes me feel like I get the most of the product.
The mask was a little fiddly to put on, its one size designed to fit all and I found it the wrong shape in some areas but it's easy to adjust so I would not left that out you off. There are holes for the eyes, nose and mouth and then two slits on each side to fix the mask in place from behind your ears.
It felt very gently once is it on, unlike most face masks it does not dry and tighten which some people will love, especially if you have sensitive skin.
It felt SUPER moisturizing and refreshing whilst on my face and after I'd taken it off. There was a little tingly sensation but this made it felt like it was actually doing something, which I love, I like when you can actually feel a product working.
Result
After use I feel like my skin is in much better condition, it has definitely helped to even out my skin and give my skin moisture, It's a face mask I would definitely buy again, its a very easy and quick application and I am now interested in trying the day cream to compare.

Boots Skincare Haul!
So today I went into Boots with not intention other than to have a little browse, about an hour later I ended up purchasing some skincare products!

What I got
Good Things Five Minute Facial Mask Anti-Blemish with Avocado and Gogi Berry £3.99 down from £5.99
Blistex Lip Brilliance Blushing SPF15 £1.29 down from £2.59
Boots Essentials Cucumber 3 Minute Clay Mask £1.50
Boots Essentials Cucumber Moisturising Cream £1.50
Link: http://www.boots.com

The Boots Essentials Range is my favorite little discovery, it's so affordable and is also a good product!
I have been using the 3 Minute Clay Mask recently and I have been loving it! It contains calming cucumber and vitamins to help cleanse and clear out impurities and excess oils from our pores, working to leave skin clean and toned. When using this mask I have been leaving it on for around 6 minutes until I feel it drying and tightening, so I that get the most out of it, after which I wash it off with a hot cloth. It really works to smooth and even out my skin, I definitely feel refreshed after using it, if you are unsure I would say it's definitely worth a try for the price!
I have used the facial scrub and found it really easy to apply and use, I used an exfoliator glove from Primark along side it. I like to use this before I put on any makeup as it works to clean, soften and clear away any dry patches on my skin, so that when it comes to apply makeup I am working with a clean base.
I can't fault this range, it has worked wonders for me and for the price these are products I would definitely repurchase. I have not used the Cucumber Moisturising Cream yet, so we will see what that is like, but I did have a smell and if you like cucumber you will like it, all of the Boots Essential products feel very pure and natural which is good for your skin.
The Good Things Five Minute Face Mask is something I have been wanting to try for a while and I thought I might as well seen as it was on offer. The face mask claims to "Make skin clearer, brighter and smoother, all at the same time. There's green clay and Kaolin to draw out impurities, avocado oil to moisturise, goji berry to extract to soothe and willow bark extract for radiance" To be honest I was sold on goji berry and avocado as they are two products which I had not seen together before and felt they sounded interesting.

The Blistex Lip Brilliance Blushing SPF15 was a little last minute spare of the moment buy. I have always been a fan of the Blistex range as they have worked well in the past when I have suffered from dry lips. This is a great little product to throw in your everyday bag. It feels moisturising and gives a lovely pink tint.
So thats about it for whatI got from Boots

Tested Review : Simple Spotless Anti Blemish Moisturiser
Today I will be reviewing the Anti Blemish Moisturiser from Simple's Spotless Skin range.

I have always liked Simple products for their gentle and pure formula, they are clear from harsh chemicals and artificial perfumes, making them great for most skin types, specifically sensitive skin.
I have used the Simple Rich Moisturiser for years and I love it, however I have been suffering from blemishes recently and I wanted a good swap in moisturisers to keep combat my outbreaks.
This product incorporates Zinc to absorb excess oils, Corn Starch to mattify shine throughout the day, Aloe Vera which softens the skin and Chamomile to work as an anti irritant. It also contains natural antibacterial agent Phytosphingosine which helps to fight spots and blemishes.
All in all sounds pretty good, especially for the bargain price of £2.29 at Superdrug down from £4.59! SO It claims to show results from day 1, which I did not experience but it definitely moisturises and helps mattifiy my skin well, now I have been using this for about a month now , I've actually just repurchased a new tube! after about a months use I can say I've noticed a considerable improvement to my skin, I still suffer from blemishes but I find this product definitely helps to reduce size and appearance and also to clear them.
I do find with this product being matte the consistency of the formula isn't ideal as a base for makeup so I would tend to use a more moisturised base if I knew I was wearing makeup for the day.
All this being said I do use this in combination with skin cleanses, scrubs and other moisturisers, I also try to live a healthy lifestyle to help treat my blemishes, by drinking enough water, regular exercise and healthy diet.
Thanks for reading.
